Newport, Virginia — This assessment of a historic covered bridge was an exercise in accurate and detailed measurement of an oversized structure in the field. The bridge, dating back to 1916, had to be carefully examined and documented through an exhaustive set of written and photographic notes. The findings of the field visit were evaluated and compiled in a group setting, and the bridge was then re-presented on paper in the studio.
