These photos represent an observation of American culture and its impact, and collectively form a visual survey of the widely varied scenes of the United States as far as I've visited. Traveling from place to place, I looked for a way to chronicle existing conditions and found photography to be a convenient way to document the unique character of each region. In architecture and in other manifestations of culture, my attraction to the vernacular is rooted in the authenticity and honesty of that which is responsive and specific to its place.
